if music be the food of love

I am embarking upon my first dissertation this year, and I plan to write down on here all my different developments with the project. With a lifetime vested interest in music (which as I grew up it turned into a curiousity about the music business) I decided that I wouldn't mind researching all about my favourite subject. So I thought about what had changed about music and whilst brainstorming the X-factor programmes and the like, where ordinary (HA!)/ or the person with a good voice and the heart wrenching story compete and end up with the packaged record deal. I kept thinking and researching on the internet and checked my old myspace page out of pure curiousity where I had about 25 people waiting to be my internet friend most of whom were bands, and then I thought that's what myspace has done it has allowed people with little or no talent to inflict their music on the world through the myspace window... the light bulb switched on in my head and I thought maybe the internet and the music business weren't such a diverse couple and were in danger or already have become the culperate for over saturation !
